Lost use of CTRL!

G'day... using CS, lost use of the CTRL button... now the button itself does actually work, as it changes the cursors in PS. but when i go to undo or deselect for example, i get nothing! whats going on???

I restart the computer when something like that happens... usually fixes it.

or maybe you've got an illegal version of cs, I heard some guys saying the same thing on another forum and they admited using a cracked version......

If you don't have a cracked version, you may want to make sure that Windows XP isn't changing the keyboard language on you. Mine does on occasion and it ends up remapping the keyboard to spanish. So things go screwy. Check the taskbar for a little keyboard icon and click that to see what language it is. If it is something other than English, that could be what is causing your problem.

that sounds like the the buggy pirate release, there is a good release as well, but support adobe and buy their product if you like it.

also there are updates available on adobe.com if you have an early legal copy for some reason.
