I cannot access my usb mass media storage from my computer or anywhere else. It use to ask me how would I like to handle the pictures on file and I turned this off. now I cannot see the usb anywhere and it shows up being alright in device manager. Is the driver corrupt?

Lost USB completely

You could try removing the USB device physically from the computer. Then uninstall it via Windows. Reboot and then re-install the software, after the software and drivers are installed connect the USB device.
Before you try the above see if System Restore will solve the problem for you.
