Lost SYS PROG key on control extension 1

The SUBJECT LINE says it all...

Lost the ability to get into SYS PROG via the console.

Well, the System program feature is assigned to a specific port on the system. This can be changed so if when you press menu you no longer get the proper prompts, someone has changed this.

If you moved the phone via system renumber, the system prog port doesn't move with it. So if you did this, the sys prog port resides back where the extension used to be plugged in.

Otherwise, I know the first port on every card can be programmed as the system prog port. I think it is also the 5th port as well (but it could be the 4th, it's been awhile). Ports go from bottom to top on a Merlin Legend.
 
The system programming extension can be any of the 1st 5 ports on the first digital station card. Default is Logical ID 1, but it can be changed through programming. Perhaps it was accidentally changed, and you will have to try your console on the other 4 ports to find it, change it back to the 1st one, then put your console back in place
 
Ahh, first through fifth! I was thinking it was 1st and 5th (which it is for operator extension, right?)
