Lost slides in powerpoint

A friend has done a stupid thing.
he had a powerpoint presentation which he opened up and deleted some slides. He then saved over the top of the file.
so basically now when he open's the presentation he is missing some slides.
Is there anyway of bring back those missing slides ?
it would really help him out.

unfortunately, even if you had autorecovery set, once the file was saved the backup was written over so the answer is no there is no way to restore them.
