Running 3.5 software - was working fine.
First noticed that a CTI application we were running quit talking to the BCM.
Went to get into the BCM on first LAN port and could not get in. Page not found. Tried second LAN port, same thing.
Also noticed Voicemail is not working
Did a hard rebbot by removing power and when the system rebooted it gave blionking light that LAN service etc is not working.
No change - cannot get into system and VM and CTI still down.

Any ideas?

3.5? Did you check the caps? There is a bulletin for bad/bulging/leaky capacitors on the BFT.

And this could cause these problems?

We looked but there is too much stuff in the way to see the caps. Unless we are looking in the wrong place.....

Voicemail runs on the hard drive, so you might want to look at that also

But if we are having problems connecting to LAN and all the LED's are lit indicating failure of that service, it most likely would be something with the motherboard or bus wouldn't it?

You are probably right.

As NSANTIN said there were issues with, I believe, blue caps on some of the motherboards. There was a free swap program but that ended last year (of course)

The BFT replacement was extended until end of 2007. If you pull the BFT you can see quite easily what colour the caps are (they are all on the front).

Search this forum and you'll see a number of posts on the subject. All "digital" services will start to fail, including VOIP, VM, Etc.

Will the system need to be reprogrammed ?
It shouldn't right?

It shouldn't, but sometimes the hard drives will corrupt as the system continually tries to reboot.

THATS what I get for posting from MEMORY...

Thanks for the clarification assist, nsantin...

Also thanks for the update on the extension, I knew I shouldn't have listened to those lying @#$%^& at ITAS...
