I have two locations where the installer has skipped town, no one know the password. default password doesn't work and we cannot get into programming via the phone. It says "denied in admin"

is there a Nortel password of the day so that we can get in? I thought so and someone else told me, no, just default and reprogram (ah, no thanks).

what do we do?

also, if I can't get into the system is there a way to determine what version bcm 50 it is?

Use my guide to see if you can use a telset OK to access the BCM 50 system.

Otherwise you will need to contact Nortel to get them to generate a 16 digit code that is valid for one day only using a different login account. To do that, you will need to give them the systems site ID or MAC address.

If you reply back with it, I'll see what BCM version it is.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Level 2 reset will take u back to default but will also wipe out programming.

Dave, that would be the system id. The MAC is the system id + 1.

Hello Paul

Yes you are correct, but even with the M.A.C. address, it's possible to find out the site ID and parameters etc from the Nortel site.
