lost my setup.exe's

I have always kept a backup folder with the setup executables of my freeware apps as well as a few apps I bought licenses for. Some catastrophe befell these files, and I don't know what. The icons all changed from the little image of a PC to that image that looks like a radio with 3 buttons at the top, and now they will not execute.
The file sizes are what they should be. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

It sounds like your exe files have become associated with a specific program.

This normally indicates a Virus. Take a look at faq779-5240 and follow the steps
