Lost keyboard shortcuts in Quark

Hi,
for no apparent reason, the standard keyboard shortcuts in Quark no longer work properly - eg, magnifying to enlarge view works, but reducing doesn't (even when selecting the magnify tool), scaling text (enlarge/reduce incrementally) works, but scaling images doesn't. They've worked no problem for years, suddenly today they don't. I have deleted my Quark preference files, to no effect. I'm on Quark 5.01, Mac OS9.2. Anyone know what's causing this - and how to cure it (apart from buying a nice shiny new 24 inch iMac and Quark 7, which would be great!!)?

Just to say that after 6 hours fruitless playing with preferences, extensions, zapping P-RAM I tried swapping the keyboard - and everything is back to normal.

Sorted!

I recall I splashed a cup of coffee over my desk last week, guess that may have had something to do with it!
