All of my jpg files have been turned into useless vbscript files. They have the same name as the original file, .jpg and all, but in properties it says "vbs script file". I can't open them, and I think the actual picture has been erased, because all these files, regardless of the picture's original size, are only 12kb.
Additionally, all of my mp3's have vbs "clones" that appear each time I restart. These haven't caused a problem, but they are annoying.
1) Is there any way I can restore those pictures and get VBScript to stop eating my files?
2) Do I even need to have VBScript if I don't use it?
3) Does anyone know what causes this, and is it common?
