I have my laptop using Win XP with a wireless connection connected to the internet(through a router). And the same laptop is connected with a RJ45 cable connected to a desktop with Win Server 2k3 installed. I was browsing the internet just fine(on the server) until I disconnected the RJ45 cable to connect another laptop to my original laptop(Win XP). When I re-connected the Win Server 2k3 RJ45 cable back I couldn't browse the internet anymore ? I can ping the Win 2k3 server from the laptop but not the other way(not Server to Laptop)?
The router is a wireless router for the home network. Not a cisco router.
Yes I set the internet connection sharing myself.
I staticly created IP addresses, & I can ping the Laptop to the server but not vice versa.
The server has only one nic card. Its a stand alone server just for home purposes to check Active directory.
What should I do to get my internet connection sharing back on the server?

Win XP laptop: Internet conn sharing enabled
Win Server 2k3: Active Directory
DNS
File Server
Remote Access/VPN server
PS:I don't have DHCP set on Server.
But I have a domain setup which works fine with the laptop in file sharing & log on.

Does your wireless router have a built in 4 port switch? If so, hook the Server physically with Cat5 to it. and Allow you router to hand out IP's or turn on DHCP on the server to hand them out. You will need a firewall though to protect your domain.

Thanks, it was a fedualt gateway problem(DG), just had to add the DG to the server TCP/IP.
