lost IE password. Help! 1

Hi all,

I have a friend who lost/forgot her password that she set up with IE. I do not know what version it is, but it is a least 2 years old. She is not able to use it at all. Is there an easy(or even better, free) way that she can reset or find out what the password is so that she can use it?
