I have 2 customers with similar problems. Lines are provided by T-1 via channel bank. On all the Slots w/412TDL modules, the 840F error constantly populates the error log. I read this has something to do with the switch "seeing" the far-end disconnect, but reliable disconnect is set, and anyway, if not provided, the voicemail ports would also lock-up. I'm just about certain it is either a design flaw with those modules, or some signaling coming from the CO is causing the issue. Any thoughts? The official explanation for the trouble is: The loop start trunk lost an idle message during glare timing. Thanks in advance

If your trunks are locking up, it usually means you are NOT receiving a far end disconnect signal.

(Probably a setting in the Channel Bank needs to be changed)

A simple test would be to call the system from an outside line (Your Cell) put the incoming call on hold, hang up the CELL and see how long it takes to disconnect the call.

If it never disconnects, then the Channel Bank isn't supervising the call.

You could also set HOLD DISCONNECT to short if it is now set to long.
