Hi there!

I have 2 pc's directly networked using win98SE. For months it had been working great until last night. My 2nd machine suddenly came up with the blue screen of death a few times and since then I can access the network back and forth but the 2nd machine cannot access the web. I've tried reinstalling ICS, even reinstalling windows on the 2nd pc, but no luck. The 2nd pc has:

Client for MS Networks
The network adapter
TCP/IP
File Sharing

I can ping each pc from the other. I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The first thing I would check would be the default gateway setting on the 2nd PC. If the default gateway is wrong you could still ping on your LAN but you would be unable to get connectivity outside of it.
