lost Gantt chart 1

I appreciate most of you guys are well experienced with Project , however I am totally new and using 2002.I have a problem whereby I keep losing the gannt chart , the tasks , start dates etc remain but the chart itself is not there.I am sure it is something very simple - any help for this extreme novice would be appreciated.

You don't really give us a lot to go on.

One possibility:

1. Click on View | Gantt Chart
2. On the extreme right hand side of the Project Window you will see the up/down scroll bar. On the left-hand side of the scroll bar you should see a thick border or edge. If you hover your cursor over this edge it should change shape to vertical bar with two small horizontal arrows. If it does, press and hold the left-mousebutton and drag the bar towards the middle of the Project Window.
