A new computer was installed at my office and our Lotus Approach 96 was loaded along with the other programs (Windows 98 SE). We use Approach with a case management database software. The secretary started getting errors when she tried to open the case management database as follows:
APPROACH caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 018f:bff7b416.

The guy that installed the computer researched the error on the Lotus website & found directions to cure the problem. However, once he did this, which involved copying the .APR files (I believe that's what he said), certain windows that once had lines for information containing lists of costs, were no longer there. There was just a blank space as though it had not be formated. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. If I reload Approach, will that cure the problem? Thanks.

I would suspect that either you installed a new printer, or you did not install a printer driver at all. Approach is very sensitive to this.

If you installed a new printer, I suggest you temporarily install the old printer driver and make it the default. Open your APR file. Switch to the new printer and then save the APR file. Do this with each one. This will likely resolve the problem.

If you have no printer driver installed, please do so! Then try out your APR files.
