I have suffered for the second time from lost control sources of non-standard controls:
1) Calendar,
2) Rich Text.
I have Access 97.
In both cases I have a designed a form bound to a query.
I have placed such control to the form
1) to edit date filelds
2) display text with upper and lower index.
One day I had put the field name of the underlying query in the design view into the ControlSource property of the the control.
Next day I have corrected something else, or I have just saved the form.
On the the third day I printed out the form, and it did not contain the formatted text of the rich text box.
The dates entered in the calendar control are lost.
Rich text boxes on reports behave the same way.
When I have checked the ControlSource it was EMPTY!
Oh Hewlett-Packard's good old RELIABLE TuboImage and HiLi!
Why does allow $&*^#ed Access special controls of it does not handle them propertly? [tt]
