What error message are you getting?

Without knowing what systems you use, I can only do a wild guess. I got the same error message when I tried to connect to "localhost" on a linux system through an SSH tunnel.
What do you try to connect to and how? And how is the server set up?

The issue was indeed attempting to connect using "localhost". I am working through a webhost and needed a complete host name that they provided on request.
The error was, however, confusing since I didnt find any mention of this condition anywhere.
