lost all pending appointments

Last week a salesman copleted an appointment in Gm6 and said ok to effect all users.
His completed appointment has come out on all records and we have lost all our pending tab information and all the appointments schedualed in the calendar.

Now the bad news

Our It department has set a schedualed full backup of windows 2003 each friday but have not backedup Gpldmine using its backup program.

I have tried a system restore and itmade no differance to Goldmine.

Is there any way i can resolve this problem,

I wondered if i restored goldmine from our back up tape to a new location can i import the needed files to repair our calendar. if so does any one know which files in need to import.


Question two Is there a way of schedualing a goldmine backup to run each night.

the files you would need to restore are cal.dbf and cal.dbt, in the GMBase folder.

But backup the ones you are overwritting just in case.

I use a product called No Hands backup to backup our internal goldmine, i do that every hour.

In reference to you getting it back, I do not thing so. I'm usnure if a product like Goldbox could do this, I have not used it personally, but do know if can do many things.
