When moving emails to personal folder, user lost access rights to 2 pst files & the ost file. I checked the security for these files & they show user is owner & has full access. However, when logged as user, it reports that he has no access rights to these files in outlook. I logged on as local admin & reset security for these files but still no access in outlook. The O/S is Windows XP PRO. It is puzzling to me that Windows reports that user has full access rights but doesn't. The outlook folder resides in My Documents & he can access everything else with no problem. The pst file size is not an issue- 300MB. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
