losses of packets with extended ping

Hello,

Did somebody already have this problem :

when I do a normal ping, I have 100% of success but when I do an extended ping with 1000 packets of 1500 bytes each ones, I have losses of a few packets.
The extended ping is done between the interface ethernet of 2 CE through the mpls network, and I checked all the shaping parameters and theres is no QOS parameter on CE & PE. Each CE is a SDSL 512k/1024k connected to a DSLAM which one is connected to an ATM swith, from this ATM switch you have a PVC connected to another ATM switch, on which one is connected the PE, the configuration of the PVC is good.

Which can be the cause for it ?
