Hi,

We have a Client-Server setup communicating through a CISCO router. The schema is as below
(Client-Modem)---dialup---(Modem-Router)---reverse telnet connection-------(unix socket-Server)

When we are transferring binary data over the channel, we are loosing some data. It seems that the router is gobbling up some characters or some sequence of characters.

Can anyone advice of some configuration to solve this problem.

Regards,

byk, the first thing I'd look at in this set up is the flow control between the modems and the end devices.

You could try listing a large text file across the link, (show tech on the router?)if you loose characters then flow control is probably set up incorrectly.
