Losing the working directory

While trying to save a document in WP 12, the current working directory gets deleted. The only other thing related is the mapped drive to the working directory gets disconnected also. I have not the slightest clue as to how to proceed in diagnosising and rectifing this issue.

Is it deleted, or is somethning resetting your directory? (going back to default, for instance, when you have a specific directory set)?

Try doing a search for the files in the directory, if you know their names, then click on file > working directory and reset it to the location of your files.
