We are using the Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router as an access point. We have configured it with an internal static IP, reserved this address within our DHCP server, turned off the router's internal DHCP server, and ensured that we can properly connect via cable through this device.

What's odd is that both our 2 laptops lose wireless connectivity within 15 minutes of its initial connection. The only way for us to re-establish connectivity is to power off and on the router. The connection is established, but then loses the signal again.

How can we fix this? Thanks

Hey,

Have you updated the firmware on the AP?
What type of network cards are in the laptop?
Are they the most recent drivers?
Are they b or g?

Bit odd that both loose the connection, at the same time.

Can you tell us more about your settings? WPA or WEP etc

Thanks,

Brett
