Hi all

A fellow collegue reports 'losing' some queries she had created in Access 2000. They were there, couple of hours later (on restart) they were gone!

Same has happened apparantly with some Forms and Reports.

Any ideas anybody???

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Were they SAVEd? And what happened during the couple of hours? What does restart mean?

I'm afraid you'll need to tell us more.

There are lots of ways to 'lose' things. Was she working on a backup? Did she make a backup? Restore from a backup?

Was she using the "hide form/query/report" functionality of Access? Or naming her objects "USys*****" or "Msys*******" which would also make them disappear?

Was there an error message of some sort on re-entry into the database, indicating corruption?

Like the above said, too many possibilities. Do a search for *.MDB files, on all drives, and check for recently-modified files. Your colleague probably was working on a different database from what she thought she was working on.
