Losing published apps

We're having a problem with clients losing their published applications. They would get this message
"There are no applications available for the supplied credentials in the current application set"
User name:..........
Domain:.........

Refreshing removes all published applications. The only way it was fixed was by removing all users/groups from the published apps and reenter them.

Thanks in advance

The following are troubleshooting steps from Citrix for the issue you are encountering, hope it's some help.....:
This document provides troubleshooting steps to resolve disappearing Program Neighborhood icons issues. For additional information see The Citrix Server Farm: Functionality and Optimizations

1. From the command line, run Qserver /serverfarm to see if the server farm is displaying.

2. From the command line, run Qserver /app to see if the expected applications are displaying.

3. What does Qserver /debugnhwatch show?

For each server in the farm, run Qserver /debugnhwatch yourservername. Look for inconsistencies in the information provided from each output. During one of those Qserver /debugnhwatch sessions, select a different server, stop the Program Neighborhood service, and wait for the result in the debugnhwatch session.

4. Verify that the Program Neighborhood Service is started on all servers in the farm and that the registry key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters, contains the NullSessionPipes value and has the Citrix_NHWatch listed as a string. This registry key controls how the server manages the application list through the named pipes service. Specifically, Citrix_NHWatch is the initial point of communication for the Program Neighborhood service to obtain a list of available servers in the farm. This value must be present on all servers in the farm. If this value is missing, the enumeration of available servers and applications for this farm does not occur.

5. Do all the servers see the correct applications? What applications are missing from what servers and what applications are published from what servers?

The applications may have been published in a domain scope. See the Citrix Knowledgebase articles How to Delete a Published Application on a MetaFrame 1.x Server and What is the Difference Between a Server Farm Scope and a Domain Scope? for additional information.

6. Does the application list return by changing an applications user properties or by deleting and republishing any application to the farm?

If so, the following registry keys on all MetaFrame servers in the farm need to be changed to reflect the below values:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA

This contains a value of restrictanonymous. This value controls the anonymous access to the various server resources and has three possible settings:

• 0- None. Rely on default permissions

• 1- Do not allow enumeration of SAM accounts and names

• 2- There is no access without explicit anonymous permissions

Citrix recommends that you set the value to 0 across all servers in the farm. For additional information about these values, null session sharing, and anonymous user access, see Microsofts TechNet articles Q289655 and Q246261.

7. A Windows 2000 Active Directory Group Policy, Additional restrictions for anonymous connections, set to "No access without explicit anonymous permissions" may also cause this issue. This policy should be set to none or not defined. This setting is located in: (Computer configuration\Windows settings\security settings\local policies\security options) for the group policy. ICA browser requires unrestricted communication using named pipes to each MetaFrame server in the farm. If this key or policy must be set then only MetaFrame XP, in native mode, must be used.

8. Does this fail in Pass-Through or from remote clients?

9. What type of clients are having this problem (that is, Win 32, NFuse, Pass-Through)?

10. Does Appcfg.exe show correct data?

11. Does this happen for all users?

12. Does deleting the *.IDX and *.VL files on the client side bring the icons back?

If so, what type of profiles are being used?

13. Do they have local logon rights on all the farm servers?

14. Citrix Support may ask you:

Does isolating the server to a hub versus a switch make a difference?
Are there ICA Gateways involved? Can a network diagram be provided?
Do any of the systems have dual NICs and are their routing tables set up properly?

15. For the last step, identify any hotfixes that replace Pnsvc.exe or Ibrowser.exe, which may address issues related to your specific Program Neighborhood icon issue.
