Intermittently we are having users report that they are unable to connect to Published apps on our Citrix Server Farm.
On viewing the Program Neighburhood I can se that "some", "all" or "none" of the apps are intermittently being displayed......has anyone else noticed this occur before?
This all started happening after adding in another server to our farm, I've triple checke and all servers are "identical" in setup.
What areas in config of the farm should we be looking in for the source of the issue?????

Any help GREATLY appreciated!!

Have you tried adding the server names and/or IPs to the server location field in the clients?

Which flavour of MetaFrame are you running? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

Yes, I've been doing that.....things are a little worse now though.
On trying to access the farm I'm getting "There are no applications for the supplied credentials in the current application set."
Running Metaframe 1.8 on Win2K servers..........

Following a reboot of all servers the Farm is no visible again, and the Published apps seem to be staying stable......however I'm curious as to how thos was happening and what/where the issues were due to?????????

I had a similar problem to this a while ago, where application icons were intermittently disappearing and reappearing, and eventually pinned it down to a permissions issue. We were using local groups on the servers to grant permissions to the apps in question, and program neighborhood didn't seem to pick the local groups up consistently. Once we changed the config to use global domain-wide groups the problem was solved. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately we are allready using domain accounts/groups to grant permissions...........

Are the global groups members of local groups and do you have a regular reboot cycle? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

I had this problem in a test enviornment recently. I had the issue you refer to, and some other communications related errors in my event log. I traced it to my Domain Controller's DNS service. After rebooting, it still persisted, so I deleted my local DNS zone, and recreated it. Matt
