Losing Photos When going from word to Acrobat 5

Afternoon All

I am currentley working on creating a single electronic version of several files (All Word 2000). All is going well apart from on one of the pages it leaves out 2 of the 7 photos.

Has anyone come accross this before? or got any ideas?

In what file format are the photos? Are they JPGs? I seem to recall reading elsewhere here that JPGs don't PDF very well. Can you convert the photos that aren't working to TIFs?
