I am connecting to a stand alone NT server via ip. \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\sharename. I connect fine and have a mapped drive. After about 30 min to an hour I click on the connection and am unable to access the share. I have to disconnect from it and reconnect. I checked login times ect. and am having no luck. Any Ideas??

Just a couple of things to check.

1) The screensaver on you and the remote machine. I have found that the 3D screen savers or ano other intensive saver can use up all the resourses and then teh "server" will start dropping connections.

Check the RAM usage etc on both machines, perhaps use perfmon to watch RAM and CPU on both boxes perhaps you will be able to see some spikes that will help you figure it out.

Check the event logs on both machines, perhpas you will see something.
