Hello...

I have captures a screen from an access database using the print screen button. I then pasted this image into photoshop and saved as a jpg.
This image looks fine in photoshop and all the text is readable. However, when I import to Flash the quality is reduced and the text within the image is unreadable.

Does anyone know why this is, or what I can do to avoid it ?

Cheers

Simon

Firstly, this isn't a particularly great way to go about this due to the nature of jpeg compression, but..
If size isn't an issue.. just ensure that the jpg quality slider is set to max upon export of your swf.
If size is an issue, then it'll probably be best to sketch out a vector copy of your access doc.. (i take that this is just a table layout or whatever)
This is obviously more arduos but is the only way to ensure legible text at small sizes within images.
Remember to use pixel fonts and to align them to whole numbers or these too, will distort..
oh and try and keep the px size divisible by i think 8, but you'll have to do a little more research into that 'cause i can't remember off the top of my head..
If in doubt drop into fontsforflash.com

Hope this helps
