I have a Win98 PC, network card, modem, using Outlook Express to receive e-mail. If the dial-up fails (line engaged) my Outlook Express account connection details are disrupted - smtp is set to 127.0.0.1 (localhost/loopback) and the login is appended with the smtp address. Whats happening here? All email account are set to 'any available' connnection as I use several different ISPs
The network card is used for peer-to-peer networking with other Win98 PCs via thin Ethernet. The above happens even if PC is running standalone. No ICS is being used.
