Losing Contacts in Address Book - Outlook 2000

COmpany Email on Exch. Svr version unknown

When I come to send an email and click To: for my Address
book, I cannot find some names. When I go to the Company Address list and then try to Add that name back to my Address book, I get a prompt to overwtire or update.
The name is in my address book, but I just cannot see it.
I have all SP applied to Outlook, but it still happens.

Paul,

Thanks for that but it doesn't cover my problem. I use Personal Folders and the system is set up to use my personal address book all the time. I have access to the rest of the company address lists.

Trouble is some contacts seem to be removed frm the Address book list even though they really are there, as deduced by the 'overwrite' prompt when I try to add the missing contact.
