losing....connection on dial-up 1

i can connect fine using win2k and dial-up and then i just disconnect no reason....it can be 1 min or even 3 min but i ciant stay connected....any reason why?

but if i run win 98 i have no problem.....


i have tried everything to my knowlage....i am looking for help....

Hi Call,
Need LOTS more info but basically you might try going to your dialup properties, click the networking tab then settings button under ppp. By default, the 3 boxes are all ticked but if you untick "Negotiate multi-link for single-link connections" you might find some joy.

This also sounds like a sync problem check that the ports are running at the same speed i.e.115200 or 9600 what ever they should match
