I have a 2400ICS, receiving the incoming calls. The caller may ask to be transferred to an extension that's on another phone system I have, which is an SV8500. The person receiving the call on the 2400 can see the caller ID of the caller on the phone's screen. However, when this call gets transferred to the SV8500 over CCIS, the caller ID gets lost, the user on the SV8500 can only see 'TIE' on the screen and also the SMDR won't report the caller ID.
How can I maintain the caller ID after the transfer? I'm thinking maybe an ARTD setting on the CCIS route or maybe an ASYD bit having to do with call transfers, but I'm hoping somebody here knows exactly what I need to do.
Just one other note: Every incoming call hits the 2400ICS first, but DID calls (using ACDD command) may be sent straight to the SV8500 via the same CCIS route, and in this case, the SV8500 user receiving the DID call CAN SEE the caller ID and it gets recorded in SMDR too. So it's just transferred calls via the 2400 that lose the caller ID.
