Losing Adjustment layers on when flatten

I have an image that uses a couple adjustment layers, (Brightness/contrast & Hue/saturation)

When I flatten the image it appears to lose the affects of the adjustment layers.

Even if I attempt to SAVE AS... without applying the flatten, it still loses the information.

The image is in RGB mode. I've never had this happen before when using adjustment layers.

Anyone else ever seen it?
Is there a way to merge the adjustment layers to the backgound image?

Thanks

...have you tried the merge visible command, does this work?

...if you hold down the alt/option key before selecting it will place this on a separate layer, keeping all your adjustment and background layers underneath...

...to maintain layers you either save as a PSD or layered TIF format...

...sounds strange that the layers are not keeping the effects, i would consider trashing you photoshop preferences see if that makes it come back to life...

...merge visible is in the layers main menu or the flyout menu in the layers palette...

Thanks Andrew, I just tried all of those and I'm getting the same result.

All I am does is lowering the saturation alot, upping the contrast and then adjusting the hue/saturation with colorize to add a soft blue tone.

Now this is getting really frustrating. I applied my changes to a copy of the background and disabled all the adjustment layers. When I try to flatten, merge visible or save it does the same thing.

It loses its increased contrast and colorize effect and basically becomes a black and white image.

Thanks for all the help.

I tried putting all the layers into a layer set with the same result.

PS = v. 7.0
OS = Windows XP

...out of interest, do a test in cmyk mode instead...

You could try updating to 7.0.1 which might fix the problem. I also had some issues with 7.0 and this seemed to fix them. Go to the Adobe site and seach for photoshop 7.0.1 update.

OK, here is the part where I feel like a moron. I had used a layer to lighten some shadows on my models. The layer was set to soft light and I painted white on the areas I wanted brighter.

When I flatten the image, I guess it didn't know where to apply those layers so it discarded them.

Once I merged that layer with that of my models, I was able to flatten it.

Sorry for the run around
