I haave a hp designjet and a laserjet 8500 that both have jetdirect card in them. I am running a peer to peer with a dedicated unit as server/storage. When we reboot any computer in the office, we seem to lose the connection to the printers.
Aftaer going thru the jetdirect wizard setup, we get back on line and all is great until someone reboots and that person is without printing/plotting. We try to keep all unit up to avoid the problem, but that is not always possible.
any help would be great.
thanks
mike

Your header is :"lose DHCP ip connection on reboot".

Is your dedicated unit acting as a print server as well? If so, try setting a dedicated IP address. Since you're on a peer to peer, you could also hook each printer up to one of the computers on the network and share it, eliminating the seperate server. Also, make sure you are using up to date drivers.

Good Luck!
