All,

I have a site (ipo 403DT BRI8; DT16 2.1(15)), phonemanager pro, using the hotdesking feature. 9 users login every morning and can make and receive calls without any problem. # 10 however has problems. Everyday during a couple of calls (inbound or outbound) people can't hear here anymore. She can still hear the caller.
If she waits a bit (10-15 sec) the voicepath comes back again.

Now, i've tried this:

move to another workplace; problem remains.
changed phones; problem remains.
rebuild the cfg; problem remains.
using 2.0(16) and 2.0(18) we had this problem as well.

The user claims not to touch the phone or keyboard whenever this happens.

I am running out of ideas. Anybody else has an idea what is going on here??

Arnoud, is it always the 10th person to login, or always the same user? Or are they one and the same (ie is it always the same user who is the 10th person to login). If necessary try mixing it up - ie get the 10th person to login before the 9th tomorrow morning to see if you can narrow the problem down to a particular terminal/port/user config, or if it's always the 10th person regardless of who that is.

And you're positive it's a DT phone and not an IP hardphone right?

It's always the same person who has this problem. It doesn't matter when or where she logs on. I've not been able to narrow it down to a hardware issue nor a user error although I suspect it to be a user issue.

I've also changed her login name, pincode, etc. but she still manage to get the problem....

Have you moved the user on to a different physical port, Preferably one on a different module?

It is not a common problem but you may have a faulty port on the system

Failing that, I would delete the user, reboot the switch (the phone should come up NoUser), re-create the user manually and reboot again.

I have moved this user so far only to different ports on the same module. No change. What I find very interesting is that it happens only to one user. Now, I never trust users, so I have been doing all kind of things to see if she really doesn't do anything wrong but so far I have not been able to find 'the error'.

I will remove the user, reboot, create a new user and put this one on the 403 rather than the DT16. See what happens then. I'll keep you posted.
