hello all

ok i have a windows 2000 advanced server running nat and have 5 clients behind the server using 192.168.0.1 for gateway system works great but when all computers are online the network works great until they start telnet session to our rs6000 server, which they are connected to constintly they will periodicly get kicked off but only when they are behind the server . our rs6000 is on another network public ip . reason we were tring to use the advanced server was to save on static ip (public ) address . set each computer to static(public) ip addresses works fine .

only having problem when we use a server for private ip . used ipsentry (checks ip's ever 1min )to check ip's internal and external . seems to be loosing intenal network. external never fails . the internal computers are set with static private ip's . not using dhcp . but they fail about 1-2 time per hour . the computers also come back on line within 2-3 min. from time the first fail. without rebooting the just start working again.

advanced serve is a p3 850 w/256mb ram 10gig hdd, using 3com c905 nic's

help
