I have an HP 9000 K360 server. I have a 10/100bt card hard coded to 100FD. I have just move this server to a new network. We use Mochasoft Telnet emmulator to connect and run our main application. The old network we never lost connection to the server. In the new network we are constantly having connection lost errors, where the connection just drops. Every thing in the new network is hard coded to 100FD. This is the first Unix server to be put on the new network, and I have contacted HP support about this, we are on HPUX 11.i and have the most current patches. However I think it is something in the new network a router or switch or something causing the connection drops. Can anyone please offer any suggestions.

Check the error count at switch level and also on the unix box - use lanadmin command to check inbound and outbound errors.

The inbound and outbound errors are 0 on the HP box. I noticed this morning that when a session is dropped that it is still active using who -u . This would appear to be on the network side versus the UNIX. right?
