Loops and Animated Gifs

I am trying to create an animated gif for a web page where I want the last segment of the animation to loop continuously. As far as i know, you can only loop the entire animated gif, and not just a portion. Can anyone offer any solution? I was thinking that perhaps create two animated gifs, one that stops, and one that loops, and have the looping one load once the first stops, but i am not sure about how to code that.

Using flash may also be an option, but i'm not yet familiar with the program.

Hi,

This is not possible to do with animated .gifs, you eiter loop the whole thing or you have it play once.

You could use 2 .gifs and use javascript and set a timer but you would have to make sure the image finished loading when the javascript works or it won't work.

I think your best option is to use flash and play one movie clip once then have it goto the next scene that just constantly rotates.
