LOOPING A MOVIE CLIP 1

How do you get a movie clip to loop? Do you publish movie clips that you can set the html tab to loop in the publish settings box? if not, is there an action to loop a movie clip?

Movieclips loop by default. You have to actually prevent them from doing this with a stop() action or something similar.

The "publish settings" box controls the looping properties of the movie as a whole and doesn't affect the individual clips within it.
