Hi Everyone- This is what we got... Citrix XP Environment- All W2k Servers (AD). Majority of users use Wyse WinTerminals and we are beginning to allow FAT clients (notebooks and Desktop PCs) to log into Citrix-(the problem)-

When we had all users using Citrix on WinTerms, there was no problem- They were all in an OU according to their office location. The Parent OU is 'Remote offices'. This OU (Remote Offices) has Folder Redirction (StartMenu: M:\Startmenu). All of these folks use WinTerminals.

Now, my FAT Clients (notebooks and Desktop PCs). I have put them in a NEW OU titled "Fat Clients". I want them to point to a different Startmenu on the MetaFrame when they log into the Citrix Server. This is because I want them to be able to use their LOCAL STARTMENU when they aren't in Citrix and just working on their local machine.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE:
Created a New OU titled "Citrix Servers". Turned on Loopback processing for this OU (computer config, Admin Templates, System, Group Policy, ...) It's the only thing I have done for this OU. Is this correct? What else do I need to do? When I log into this server now, there is NO folder Redirction which is set in their FAT CLIENTS OU... I am really confused about the Merge and Replace too!! hElP Me PlEaSe!!

Have you enabled loopback processing?

Open gpedit.msc from RUN
and open Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>System>Group Policy
Enable "User Group Policy Loopback Processing Mode"

Steve Thank You,
Steve

Yes Enabled it and it is set to MERGE.
From my understanding, MERGE means that Policys will get pulled from their Container where the user resides and THEN any policys from the "Citrix Servers" OU get added last- giving these higher prcedence.?? RIght??
