I know I know SCENES ARE THE WORK OF THE DEVIL! but i have a loop scene problem.. I have a button that i supposed to turn the music on and off. but it starts playing it over itself... I need the button to be in both scenes for the music control

Do you have two scenes each with the same sound triggered off the timeline? If so then it might be easier to have the sound in a separate .swf loaded into _level1 which you can stop and start from buttons in either scene without a break in the sound as the scenes change.

Alternatively you could have a stopAllSounds() in frame 1 of each scene before you kick off the new sound. It all depends on what you're doing with the sound I suppose.

And scenes aren't the work of the devil despite the slating they get in this forum - they're a really useful way of organising the timeline if you approach them the right way.
