loop-detect timers on 8600

Hi

Has anybody got any information regarding loop detect timers on 8600'S. The only information I can find in the Nortel documentation is
" loop detecttion is triggered when a MAC flaps between two or more ports x number of times whithin timer interval y "

Im interested in what x and y values are and if they vary between code levels
