I have a customer that are getting reports of some calls dropping.

They have 2 x 3300 gateways:
1] With Incoming ISDN trunks and Paths.
2] With Outgoing ISDN trunks

Then an MXe Server user gateway with users, agents, and agent groups.

I have been looking in the logs and getting an awful lot of loop avoidance warnings. Now this may be a red herring.

HANDLER_ERR, OFFSET 2:$F18, PC: $52EB9E
LOG_ID: dpnsscpst#10, PROCEDURE: dpn_xlation_complete, SEVERITY: cp_major
PID: ($7, $203)
SWID: xnet_trunk 82, DAM: busy
DPNSSMSG: Loop Avoidance Software Error

Call over XNET TRUNK 0082 dropped by Loop Avoidance
Digits dialled by caller : 1459
Caller's extension : 4251

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards,

Mr Mit

This is just a guess but I would say that you are reaching the ,maximum loop limit as defined in the Xnet IP Trunk Group Assignement form.

By default, this value is 26 hops. You may have defined a lower number by accident?

Or

System A sends the call to system B which thinks the call should go to System A which sends it back to B etc etc.
(check your remote directories and make sure the digits match locals that actually exist on the system defined.)

Thank you very much.

I will check this out when I am next onsite!

Or if you use ARS Networking make sure your ARS digits are configured to go to the correct system (Wildcards can get you in trouble if your not careful)

The systems are fully clustered.

I will check the basics.
