We recently were trying to verify that our computer system and Goldmine 4.0 (5 users network)would run on Windows XP. We did our test on our Access DB by bring the DB unto a laptop with XP on it. But when we went to test Goldmine. We put another copy of the program on the lap top and then tried to get to the main file through the network that hold the contact records...

Anyways, something went wrong. We could open the files in the common database, but when I went to test it and schedule a call I noticed that it lost all of our lookup tables and users. I went into another one of the db that we have on Goldmine and the lookup tables are fine and working in the other files. I added added a "Product" to one of the lookup tables and exit the 2nd db and went back into Common to see if the change was reflected... It was not there, but it was in other Goldmine database that we have.

Also, the user can be seen from file/config goldmine/use file... but we can not choose a user anywhere else in the program. IE: scheduling calls, choosing a form....

Any idea what we might have done and how we can fix it.

Thanks

Cheryl

Your laptop is off the network correct and you changed all the paths to match your local(on Laptop)location correct.
