lookup on contacts not working and calendar problems

Blackberry 7100r on BES 4.1 and Exchange 2003

I have a client whose main issue is that the lookup feature is not working in the Blackberry address book. She seems to only have the option to search her saved contacts. The global address list is not available.

Also, new email messages and calendar items are received ok on the Blackberry, but when client deletes a reoccuring calendar item from her computer, the appointment stays on the Blackberry. As a test, I created a new appointment in Outlook; however, the new calendar item did not show up on her Blackberry, even after waiting for 30+ minutes and selecting "Reconcile now".

Email reconciliation is enabled on the Blackberry. I was unable to find any reconciliation options for the calendar.

A co-worker suggested having the user removed and re-added to BES 4.1 to force a resync. Might be an option, but I am not too familiar with the server side of things because that is taken care of by a different department.
 
Check that Wireless Calendar sync is turned on. From the calendar, click the thumb wheel, select Options, then Wireless Sync > On. Be sure to save it! Also may want to check that the settings in Desktop Manager aren't futzing things up.
