I have no idea when this happened, but for some reason Goldmine 5.7 dBase version won't recognize our Lookup.ini file anymore. Nothing in the lookup.ini file has changed so this is extremely confusing to me.

Does any one have any suggestions on where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Post your lookup.ini here so we can check it.

Also make sure its still called lookup.ini

Thanks Richard.... Here you go... and yes I have triple checked that it is called lookup.ini several times. :)

Though you've triple-checked it, make sure the machine from which you're triple checking it isn't hiding file extensions for known file types (tools|options->view tab in Windows Explorer)

I've seen many-a 'lookup.ini.txt' fail to function as expected...

Yep... in the "Type" column it says "configuration settings" and I double checked going to the properties of the file.

Could it be where I saved the file. I saved it where the rest of the user *.ini files are.

If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

soudns like youve got it in the right place. Double check that your help|about screen indicates that the GoldMine System Files are in that same folder... Beyond that, check that there are no OTHER 'lookup.ini' files in the goldmine tree...

No OTHER 'lookup.ini' files in the goldmine tree???? Could you explain that one a little more.

Make sure there is not another file named 'lookup.ini' in the common, gmbase, demo, etc. etc. folders within the GoldMine folder structure.

Goldmine tree is all clear. Except for the original in the system file.
