Lookup Handle error

One of my coworkers is getting the following message when she tries to open any message forwarded from one specific user:

An uncorrectable error has occurred. Lookup handle, handle not allocated.

This is Notes 5 on an XP Pro PC. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Standard procedure : refresh the design.
Go to File/Database/Refresh Design. Do not forget to choose the server as design template server. Also, check beforehand that the mail file accepts design updates (in the mail, click the Properties smarticon and choose Database, then go to the middle tab with the hammer and square ruler and check that the Inherit from Master Template choice is filled in).

If the Refresh does not do anything, try Replacing the design instead. Same procedure, but this time you'll have to choose the mail template from the server.

If that still does not solve the issue, we'll look elsewhere.
