Lookup Column Width!!!

If you have multiple columns in your listbox/lookup/combo but only want a certain column to show, needing the other column there to provide the data needed.

If setting the column you want to 0 doesnt work I have a tip! I set it to 0 and Access thought the data was hidden and didn't use it.

Set it to 0.001cm instead!
When you preview it, the width is soo small, you cant see it anyway!

Is this useful, or have I always been doing it wrong. EVen changing all the bound column didnt work 4 me!

Yes voyagergregory this is a standard approach.

If ( JUST for the sake of experimentation ) you set up a Lookup Field within a table design you'll find that the table Wizard does exactly this for you automatically.

( Health warning - Lookup tables are a pain in the neck - Don't use then in real life. )
