The search lookup and / or "F7" hotkeys no longer work on one workstation. The Macola Boxes just go grey and hangs there.

this only start about a week ago and the user swears that they have done nothing to their workstation.

I have already tried "Fully" reinstalling the client

We are in a Progression 7.600.400a SQL server 2000 environment.

Any thoughts?

Right click anywhere in the gray area of the screen, and make sure they are not using a customized screen.

Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Macola, eSynergy, and Crystal Reports

"What version of URGENT!!! are you using?

The screen is not customized.

Also, the issue only seems to happen on the one individual workstation. If the user goes to another workstation and logs in as themselves, the error does not happen.

Possible solutions :

1.) DLL issue, try re-installing progression - saw you did this

2.) check your path enviroment compare to working workstations

3.)manually register search.dll. Normally in the macsql root directory regsvr32 ?:\macsql\search.dll

4.) Make sure the Progression user does not have any special characters in the user name or password. i.e. (& $ @ =) The user name and password should be limited to letters and numbers

5.) ODBC / SQL Driver issue - reinstall or update MDAC

Hope you find the answer.

I have sen this before and have had to uninstall the client first.
This is not difficult but you need to know thw steps and I have never seen it documented. Here is what I do to uninstall.
1. Go to the add remove programs from the control panel and remove the Futjitsu run time
2. Go to c:\program files\common files and delete these two directories. fujitsu and Macola Shared
3. Go to regedit and delete the keys for Fujitsu and Macola, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software
4. re-install the client.

Yhis has worked for me in the past.
